Inside Mount

Blinds & shades are mounted inside the window casing.

Outside Mount

Blinds & shades are mounted outside the window casing. Eliminates the light gap around windows.

Width & Height

Measure the exact width and height of the area to be covered. Add 4″ to both width and height for better light and privacy control. 2″ for each side as per drawing.

I ordered a cordless faux wood blind but the slats can’t be closed completely. Is it this a defect?

Faux wood slats come in fixed sizes (2″ & 2.5″). Depending on the height of the blind ordered, there might be an extra slat sitting on top of the bottom rail. This is a common issue for cordless faux wood blinds among all vendors. When the blinds are installed as an inside mount, you won’t be able to pull down the bottom rail and fully extend the blinds to close the slats. To mitigate this issue, it is recommended that you order your blinds as an outside mount. That way you can fully pull down the bottom rail and close the slats tightly.

I ordered a cordless faux wood blind and the cord is not going through the loop on the last few slats. Is this normal?

This is normal. In order to ensure a tighter closure on our cordless faux wood blind, the cord is not going through the loop of the two top slats and two bottom slats.

How can I prolong the life of my faux wood blinds?

Extreme heat and the careless lifting of blinds cause the most wear and tear on this kind of window covering. Consider a light color and additional glass treatments on windows that may be exposed to extreme heat. For cordless faux wood blinds: the slats need to be opened before pulling the bottom rail to lower the blinds. When raising the blinds, gently tilt the slats towards you at 45 degrees before lifting the bottom rail up.

Are your faux wood blinds easy to clean?

Yes! Simply dust clean it.

If I order a 35″ blind, what size blind will I receive?

If you order a designer faux wood as an inside mount, the blind will measure 3/8″ smaller than the ordering size. If you order the blind as an outside mount, the blind will come in the exact ordering size.

How do I clean my faux wood blinds?

Faux wood blinds can be cleaned by using a clean, dry cloth, feather duster, or vacuum with brush attachment to gently remove dust and debris. To ensure thorough cleaning, wipe the slats in the open and closed positions. Do not immerse the product in water or use abrasive chemical solvents. This may cause discoloration and the blind to warp. Ultrasonic cleaning is not recommended.
